Both teens were the low scorers heading into the second day of the tournament and both were able to maintain their leads, claiming the cup and capturing the flag at the tournament.
For Skae, it was his first victory in the Junior Tour Championship, something he has been striving for since he was little. He knew that he would have to shoot under par to win, and sure enough, he managed to come in at 1 under par for the second round of the championship and finishing 5 under (a 2-day total of 139) for 36-holes.
Unlike Skae, Kyra Cox is no stranger to victory the Junior Tour Championship. For Cox it is her third win at the championship and she couldn't be happier. "I was just making sure I stayed calm, didn't get out of my tempo—my momentum, and just stayed calm through the entire round," said Cox. Cox also finished with a 2-day score of 139, 7 under for her division.
