At the end of a very long day, the 24-year-old from Brewster was among the six players holding a U.S. Open qualifying packet.
"It really is a dream come true," said Miller, who earned the right to play Oakmont Country Club next week when finished tied for third with a 6-under total of 138 on Monday in the sectional qualifier at Canoe Brook. "Nothing can even compare. Iâve heard horror stories about how itâs going to be tough and how the course is brutal. I donât care. Iâm so elated that I get to be there with the worldâs best. I canât wait to play."
